The Malaysian Passport Now Holds 5th Position in International Ranking

The Malaysian passport has been ranked number five in a list of the most “powerful” passports in the world. Malaysia had a score of 153, sharing the fifth group slot with Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand in the 2017 Passport Index. The fifth placing indicates the high level of travel freedom for Malaysians. A Malaysian passport gives visa-free access to 151 countries.

Penang receiving international recognition when named as one of ’17 must visit destination in 2017’ by CNN

“The Malaysia island of Penang is arguably one of Asia’s best street food destinations.  It offers a mix of traditional Malay, Chinese and Indian dishes, as well as fusion cuisines such as Baba Nyonya, or Peranakan, which incorporates regional ingredients and Chinese and Malay cooking methods.” – Edition, CNN.

Once again Penang is recognised internationally as one of the must visit destinations in 2017 by CNN. It was reported that the recognition would spur the tourism sector of the state which was now renowned abroad.
