Forbes: Malaysia tops the list in Asia’s 5 Best Countries for Foreign Investors
Various news portals reported that Malaysia has been named by Forbes as the top recipients of foreign direct investment in Asia. In comparison to 2015, Malaysia recorded an increase of 64% in foreign capital. Other top countries in the rankings are Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and India. The article also stated that the current Malaysian government is considered pro-business and the country offers tax breaks on capital expenditures for R&D, exempts duties on imports used by high-tech firms and offers a 10-year tax break up to 70% for companies in priority sectors such as tourism, manufacturing and technical training.

Malaysia at No. 1 Spot in Global Muslim Travel Market.
According to reports by The Star, The Malay Mail Online and Sin Chew Daily Malaysia has been ranked the most popular destination with global Muslim travelers for third year by the Mastercard Crescent Rating Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2017. The respondents ranked Malaysia ahead of 130 other major nations at 82.5 follow by the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia respectively. According to the research, the Muslim travel market is expected to grow a further US$80bil (RM346.4bil) to reach US$300bil (RM1.3 trillion) by 2026.
