Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru amongst top tier cities in the world.

Two of Malaysia’s cities have been listed in the Globalization and World Cities Research Network (GaWC) Rankings 2016. The GaWC world-class city ranking system is the world’s most authoritative city ranking. Kuala Lumpur was listed in the first-tier ranks amongst other cities such as Sydney, Frankfurt, Seoul, Los Angeles and others. In a news report by The China Press , Johor Bahru was listed amongst the top fourth-tier cities in the world by GaWC.
